Is it really free?

Will the video have a watermark?

Nothing of ours is added. Instagram does not burn a watermark into Reels either. The handle you see while a Reel plays is drawn by the app and disappears in the file. If a mark is burned in by the creator, or came from a TikTok cross-post, it is part of the pixels and cannot be removed cleanly.

What quality will I get?

The highest rendition Instagram is serving for that Reel, usually 1080×1920 H.264 with AAC audio. We never re-encode, so there is no generation loss. If a Reel was uploaded at a lower resolution, that is the ceiling. No tool can add detail that was never uploaded.

How do I convert an Instagram Reel to MP4?

There is nothing to convert. Instagram already stores Reels as MP4 files, so we hand you the same file its player uses, untouched. Paste the link, press Download, and the MP4 is yours. Any site that claims to "convert" a Reel is re-encoding it, which only costs you quality.

Does the MP4 have sound?

Yes. The picture and the audio sit in the same MP4 file, so it plays with sound in any player, on any phone or computer. Nothing separate to download and nothing to join together.

Where does the file save on my phone?

On Android, downloads land in the Downloads folder and show up in your Gallery within a minute or two. On iPhone and iPad, Safari saves the MP4 to the Files app under Downloads. Open it there and tap Share → Save Video to move it into Photos.

Will the creator know I downloaded it?

No. Instagram does not notify anyone when a Reel is viewed or saved through an external page, and we never act on your behalf using your identity. The creator sees no extra view and no record of your device.
