Why this one

A Facebook video downloader that just works

Most FB video download sites hand you a silent file, a 360p copy, or three fake Download buttons before the real one. This one reads every quality Facebook serves and gives you a file with the sound already in it.

Every quality on offer

You see each resolution Facebook keeps for that video, from 360p up to 1080p, and pick the one you want. Nothing is upscaled or re-encoded.

Sound included

Facebook often stores the picture and the sound as separate files. We join them while you download, so the MP4 you get plays with audio.

No login required

We never ask for your Facebook email, password or session cookie. There is no field on this site in which to type one.

Reels and long videos

A short Reel, a news clip or a full documentary: the same box handles all of them, and long files start downloading straight away.

No daily limit

No credits, no queue and no sign-up wall after a few downloads. Use it as often as you need.

Privacy first

No accounts, so no profile of you. Videos pass straight through to your device and are never stored on our server.

How it works

How to download Facebook videos in three steps

Copy the link, paste it here, pick a quality. The whole FB video download takes a few seconds on a phone or a laptop.

  1. 01

    Copy the video link

In the Facebook app, tap Share under the video or Reel and choose Copy link. On a computer, click the video's time stamp and copy the address bar.

  2. 02

    Paste it into the box

Come back here, paste the link and press Download. We read the public video page and list every quality it offers.

  3. 03

    Pick a quality and save

Choose 1080p, 720p, a smaller file or just the audio. Android saves to Downloads; iPhone puts the file in the Files app.

In practice

Short Reels or full-length videos

Facebook stores different kinds of video in different ways. Here is what to expect from each.

Facebook Reels download

Reels are vertical and usually short. You get the tallest version Facebook has, often 1080 × 1920, with the soundtrack joined in.

Long videos and full episodes

An hour-long video starts downloading at once. There is no progress bar, because the file is joined as it travels, so let it run to the end.

Which quality to pick

1080p to keep, 720p for watching offline, 360p when mobile data is tight. The option marked plays everywhere is the safest choice for older iPhones.

Private, group and friends-only videos

If you have to be logged in to see a video, we cannot reach it either. Only videos shared publicly work.

Questions

Facebook video download questions

The things people email us about most. If yours is not here, send it over and a real person will answer it.

Is this Facebook video downloader free?

Yes. There is no paid plan, no trial and no download limit. You do not need an account or an app. The site is paid for by on-page advertising.

Can I download Facebook Reels?

Yes. Paste the Reel link like any other video. Reels come out as vertical MP4 files, usually 1080 × 1920 when the creator uploaded in HD.

Does it work for long Facebook videos?

Yes. Full episodes, documentaries and stream replays all work. Long downloads start immediately, but the browser cannot show a percentage, because the file is put together while it downloads.

Why did another downloader give me a video with no sound?

Facebook keeps the picture and the sound of many videos in separate files. A tool that grabs only the picture file hands you a silent clip. We join the two while you download.

Can I download private or group videos?

No. We only see what Facebook shows to someone who is not logged in. Videos from private profiles, closed groups or posts shared with friends only are out of reach, by design.

What quality will I get?

Every resolution Facebook keeps for that video, up to 1080p. If it was uploaded in 720p, that is the ceiling. We never re-encode, so nothing is lost on the way.

Will the file play on my iPhone?

Yes, in the Files app and most players. Some Facebook HD files use the VP9 format, which older iPhones and the Photos app handle poorly. If one will not play, pick the option marked plays everywhere.

Where does the video save?

On Android, in the Downloads folder, and it shows up in your Gallery shortly after. On iPhone and iPad, Safari saves it to the Files app under Downloads. Tap Share → Save Video to move it into Photos.

Is it legal to download Facebook videos?

Save videos you posted yourself, videos you have permission to keep, or clips for personal offline viewing. Re-uploading someone else's video or using it commercially without permission can break copyright law and Facebook's terms.
