Original size, not the feed copy
The feed and the app's own save option give you a 736 pixel copy. This Pinterest picture downloader goes to the original upload instead, so you get the HD file the pinner posted. For most pins that is 1000 to 2000 pixels wide.
JPG, PNG or WebP, as uploaded
Photos come out as JPG in most cases. Graphics and screenshots are often PNG, and some newer uploads are WebP. The card under each picture shows the format before you tap Download, and nothing is converted.
Common image errors and fixes
"We could not find that pin" means it was deleted or sits on a secret board. A pin.it link that lands on Pinterest's home page has expired, so copy it again from the pin. "Too many links from your connection" clears after an hour.
Save a Pinterest image without the app: open the pin in your phone's browser, copy the address and paste it here. On iPhone, the picture goes to Files under Downloads; tap Share, then Save Image to move it to Photos. On Android it lands in Downloads and shows in Gallery. How to download Pinterest images
Getting a pin's picture onto your phone or computer takes three steps.

Copy the picture pin's link
Open the image pin in the Pinterest app, tap Share and choose Copy link. In a browser, open the pin so it fills the page, then copy its address.

Paste and press Download
Paste the link into the box above and press Download. Each picture appears as a card that shows its format and, where Pinterest lists it, its size in pixels.

Tap Download under a picture, or Download all to take a whole carousel. Android keeps images in Downloads; on iPhone they land in the Files app.

Yes, with no paid tier and no account. You can save as many pictures as you like, within a limit of 40 links an hour from one connection.
How do I download a Pinterest image in original size?
Paste the pin link and press Download. We ask Pinterest for the original upload rather than the 736 pixel copy the feed shows, so the file is often 1000 to 2000 pixels wide and much sharper.
Can I download every image in a carousel pin?
Yes. Each picture in the carousel gets its own card and Download button. Download all saves them one by one, about a second apart, so the browser does not block them.
Does it add a watermark or compress the photo?
Neither. The image reaches you exactly as Pinterest stores it, in its own format: JPG, PNG or WebP.
Does a pin.it link work for images?
Yes. Paste the short link the Pinterest app copies when you tap Share. It resolves to the full pin, and the picture is fetched from there.
Can I save pictures from a secret board?
No. Secret boards are visible only to the people invited to them, and this tool reads only what Pinterest shows publicly. The same goes for deleted pins.
Where do saved Pinterest pictures go?
Android puts them in Downloads, and they show in Gallery a moment later. On iPhone and iPad, Safari saves to Files under Downloads; open the picture, tap Share and choose Save Image to put it in Photos.
Can I use a Pinterest image I downloaded?
Keeping a copy for a mood board or personal reference is the usual use. Posting someone else's photo as your own, selling prints of it or using it in ads needs the owner's permission under copyright law and Pinterest's terms.
Why is my downloaded image still 736 pixels wide?
Some pins only exist at that size, because the pinner uploaded a small picture or Pinterest kept no larger copy. In a carousel we try the original first and fall back to the 736 pixel copy when there is none.
Why did I get a WebP or PNG instead of a JPG?
The file keeps the format it was uploaded in. Most phones and browsers open WebP; if an app refuses it, open the picture in a photo editor and export it as JPG.
