How to download all photos from an Instagram post
One carousel can hold multiple photos and clips. Here is what each slide turns into, how to save the set on each device, and what to do when a post will not load.
Carousel links that work
Use the link of the post itself, the one with /p/ in it. Reel and /tv/ links load too. A profile or story link will not, because it does not point to a single carousel.
What each slide becomes
Photos save as JPG and video slides as MP4. Files are named after the account and the post, with the slide number at the end, so name-ABC123-1.jpg sits next to name-ABC123-2.mp4 in swipe order.
Carousel slides on iPhone and iPad
Safari puts every slide in the Files app under Downloads. To move a batch into Photos, tap Select, pick the slides, then Share and Save Images.
Carousel slides on Android
Chrome may show a bar saying the site wants to download multiple files. Tap Allow once and every slide lands in Downloads, then shows up in your Gallery.
Carousel slides on a computer
Windows and Mac browsers drop the slides into your Downloads folder. Because of the numbered names, sorting by name keeps them in carousel order.
When a carousel will not load
The usual reasons are a private account, a deleted post, or an account that blocks embedding. A clip marked No sound was posted silent, so it has no MP3 button.

How to download an Instagram carousel
Three steps to save a carousel post: copy its link, paste it above, then pick the slides you want.

Copy the carousel link
Open the post in the Instagram app, tap the share icon under it and choose Copy link. On a computer, open the post and copy the address from the browser bar.

Paste and load the slides
Paste the carousel link into the box at the top of this page and press Download. Each slide appears as its own card, numbered and marked as photo or video.

Pick slides or take the whole post
Tap Download under any single slide, or press Download all for the full set. If the browser asks about multiple files, allow it.

Getting the most out of a carousel
Small things that save time when a post has many slides.
Allowing several downloads
Chrome and Safari may ask once whether the site can save more than one file. Allow it and Download all runs through the whole post.
Only the photos
Skip the video cards and tap Download only on the picture slides. For a post with a single picture, the Instagram photo downloader does the same job.
Only the sound
A video slide with an audio track shows an MP3 button beside Download. For a single Reel, Reels to MP3 is quicker.
Carousels from private accounts
If the post only opens when you are logged in, our server cannot open it either. Only carousels from public accounts load.

Is the Instagram carousel downloader free?
Yes. There is no paid plan, no trial and no account. The only limit is a fair-use cap on how many new posts one connection can load in an hour.
Does it save every slide, not just the first?
Yes. All slides in the carousel are listed in the order you swipe them, each with its own Download button.
How does Download all save a whole carousel?
It starts each photo and video one after another, just under a second apart, so the browser does not block a burst. Chrome or Safari may ask once to allow several downloads. MP3 files are not included, so tap those separately.
What quality are carousel photos and videos?
Photos come at the largest size Instagram keeps, usually 1080 or 1440 pixels wide, and each card shows the exact size. Video slides come as the original MP4 Instagram serves for that post.
Can I get the sound from a video slide?
Yes, when the clip has an audio track. Those slides show an MP3 button next to Download. Clips marked No sound were posted silent, so there is nothing to extract.
Can I download a carousel from a private account?
No. We see only what a logged-out visitor sees, so carousels from private accounts cannot be loaded, by design. The same goes for deleted posts.
Where do carousel slides save on my phone?
Android puts every slide in the Downloads folder, and the Gallery picks them up shortly after. On iPhone and iPad, Safari saves them in the Files app under Downloads. Select the slides there and tap Share, then Save Images, to move them into Photos.
Is it legal to download someone else's carousel?
Saving your own carousels, posts you have permission to use, or a private copy to look at later is generally fine. Reposting another person's slides, or using them in ads or products without permission, can break copyright law and Instagram's terms.
Why are the slides separate files and not a zip?
Each slide is its own file, named after the account and the post with a number at the end, such as name-ABC123-3.jpg. That keeps them in swipe order and lets your phone open them straight away, with nothing to unpack.
Why does it say a carousel cannot be read?
The post is usually private, deleted, or from an account that blocks embedding. Check that the link opens in a logged-out browser. If you pasted a lot of posts in a short time, you may be asked to try again in an hour.
